interactive Metronome® (IM)

Interactive Metronome® (IM) is a research-informed, rhythm-based program used as an educational and wellness-oriented tool to support timing, coordination, and attention-related skills.

IM sessions involve structured, repetitive timing exercises that emphasize awareness, pacing, and consistency. Sessions are offered within an educational framework, not as medical, rehabilitative, or therapeutic treatment.

Who IM May Be Helpful For

IM may be of interest to individuals who want to explore and strengthen skills related to:

  • attention and focus

  • timing and coordination

  • processing speed

  • working memory

  • sensory awareness

  • motor planning

  • consistency and pacing

  • self-monitoring and regulation

IM is offered as skill-building and experiential learning, not as treatment for medical or psychological conditions.

What IM Supports (Educational Focus)

IM activities are designed to engage skills commonly associated with:

  • auditory timing and rhythm

  • coordination and balance

  • motor planning

  • attention and sustained focus

  • learning consistency

  • executive-function–related skills

What Sessions Look Like

IM relies on repetition and practice to support learning and skill development.

Typical participation involves:

  • approximately 30 minutes of active practice

  • multiple sessions per week (based on individual preference and availability, commonly 3 per week)

  • sessions completed at home with remote educational support from Kelsey via Zoom
